I have been seeing this girl for 4 months. Not exclusive and only see each other once a week or so. After this past weekend I decided I want to end it.

What is the best way to do this? I doubt she is expecting it at all so it feels abrupt to send her a text breaking it off Im thinking of kind of drifting off (stop initiating any texts, be too busy if she wants to meet up etc) and then if she asks whats up I’ll end it then.

You’ve got the right idea. You want to pull away a little bit. Stop talking for a day or two. Get her to bring it up. But sometimes this can be difficult. Depending on how ‘nice’ you are, it may be hard for you to pull away. So you may just want to have a talk with her. Even if it is non-exclusive, people typically start to have feelings after seeing someone for so long. So I think it’s fine to just have a talk with her about it. Tell her you feel like things aren’t going to the next level.
