That is correct. You’re just having fun. You’re not trying to get anything from her. You’re not trying to start a conversation.

Your video was the right type of ping. What you’re trying to say is not obvious. You could be telling her she’s cute, or making fun of her, or both. Or the ping might have nothing to do with her. There are a million videos on Youtube that fit the bill. Or you could ping her with a picture you take yourself, something out of the ordinary with minimal text. “awesome” is enough.
