Very helpful Eric. Though I’ve never left a comment before, I’ve been reading you for quite some time.

This is gold to me because I have a hard time thinking about things to discuss, but, as you pointed out, one simple thing can be expanded upon and possibly lead to even more convo topics.

There’s this girl that I talk with nearly everyday, since we both have breaks between classes at the same time, and I can never think of new topics to discuss. But, I do know what she likes and now I can expand upon that, hopefully, and learn more about who she is – the person underneath the persona.

It’s also important not to make too many assumptions. One big one I think most guys (myself included) make is to assume a woman is bitchy if she is dressed really sexy or assume she is friendly if she’s more plainly dressed. Often times, I get surprised that this is not the case at all.
